On 12 September, the representatives of High-Voltage Union Concern together with the UNAKO Group of Companies delivered a presentation of the produced equipment to Minister of Energy of Turkmenistan Myrat Artykov. The Minister got clear examples of promising projects and innovative solutions of the Concern; namely, these are BPC-110 vacuum circuit-breaker and 10 kV complete switchgear series KU-10S well-reputed not only in Russia but also abroad.
The presentation resulted in principal arrangements about further cooperation and involvement of High-Voltage Union in construction and reconstruction of power supply facilities of the country. The meeting was held within the framework of the International Exhibition «Main Trends of Development of the Electric Power Industry of Turkmenistan 2013» in the Exhibition Palace «Sergi Kosgi», Аshgabad, on 12-14 September 2013.
The interest in the High-Voltage Union equipment is not a mere coincidence: the country's power industry priority tasks for the nearest future include plans to build new power transmission lines, to build new and reconstruct the existing transformer substations, to reconstruct power generating units of Mary Thermal Power Plant.
In accordance with the National Program of Social and Economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2011-2030, the power generation will grow up to 27.4 billion kW h per year by 2020, and by 2030 they plan to increase the power generation up to 35.5 billion kW h. That is why the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan is nowadays so interested in the search of reliable electrical equipment suppliers. In its turn, High-Voltage Union considers Turkmenistan to be one of the priorities in the Central Asia markets.
