Application
РС-110 live tank circuit-breakers are used for installation into 110kV outdoor switchgears of transformer substations as well as for extension of existing substations and replacement of outdated air, low-oil dead tank and other circuit-breakers.
Design
The circuit-breaker has solid-cast poles with organosilicon insulation. Poles houses specially designed vacuum interrupters. The spring drive ensures the possibility of manual switching off and on of the circuit-breaker. The drive control box is mounted near the circuit-breaker housing, which ensures convenient and safe access to it.

BPC-110 vs SF6 circuit-breakers:
- Stable state of BPC-110 contacts group lasts during the whole lifetime whereas SF6 dielectric properties fall down (increase in the number of switching cycles causes accumulation of decay products in the switching compartment, which has adverse effects).
- The BPC-110 electrical lifetime is 10000 cycles, which in two times higher than SF6 circuit-breaker lifetime.
- BPC-110 needs no maintenance during 10000 switching cycles.
- The minimum installation time (6-8 hours) and minimum expenses for installation.
- BPC-110 circuit-breakers are eco-friendly and need no additional expenses for their utilization as SF6 circuit-breakers.
- The BPC-110 circuit-breaker is more reliable than the SF6 circuit-breaker (the BPC-110 vacuum interrupter contains less moving parts than the SF6 interrupter.
- It it possible to operate them at low temperatures (down to - 60° С) without additional heating.
